GHS Senior Vivica Lewis named GHS Student Marshal

Vivica E Lewis is a graduating fourth-year studying global health studies and sociology with a concentration in social inequality. While at Northwestern, Vivicaserved as a health educator and co-chair of Peer Health Exchange and was the 2022 Circumnavigator Research Grant recipient. Her research project, "Birth Control Bans to Contraceptive Care," investigated past and present birth control policies and culture in Argentina, Ireland, England, France, and Singapore. Outside of classes and research, she has engaged with the Chicago community as a community advisory board member for Illinois Contraceptive Access Now (ICAN!) and sexual health education intern in the Office of Student Health and Wellness (OSHW) for Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Vivica is looking forward to the next chapter of earning her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in community health research at the Feinberg School of Medicine through the Accelerated Public Health Program. Vivica is constantly motivated and inspired by her various communities, and she is passionate about advocating for reproductive justice and health equity in our world.
