GHS 2022 Student Marshal Named

Sloane Harris has been chosen as the 2022 Student Marshal in Global Health Studies. Sloane writes:
I am a graduating senior from Cincinnati, Ohio studying Biological Sciences and Global Health Studies with a minor in African American Studies. During my time at Northwestern, I served as a leadership council member for Peer Health Exchange, Community Building Co-Director for GlobeMed, Treasurer and Venue & Decor Co-Chair for Black Formal Executive Committee, and a mentor for the Black Mentorship Program. I also served as a research assistant in the African American Studies Department with Professor Vaughn-Manley helping with research on Toni Morrison and Black women quilters. I also served as a research assistant at Feinberg School of Medicine in the McNally Genetics Lab, assisting with cardiac stem cell research and cardiomyopathies research. After graduation I plan to become a research assistant/program coordinator for the Chair of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing before matriculating into medical school in the fall of 2023.
