GHS 2021 Graduation Student Marshal Named

Chloe Wong is a graduating senior from New York, NY studying Biological Anthropology, Asian American Studies, and Global Health Studies. During their time on-campus, Chloe served as President of Kappa Phi Lambda, a multicultural sorority, and was an active leader in the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community. They were a two-year member of the InclusionNU Fund Board and a four-year member of the JubilAsian Planning Committee for APIDA Heritage Month. Chloe also volunteered as a School Coordinator for Supplies for Dreams, a non-profit organization that provides extracurricular experiences to students in Chicago Public Schools. In her Global Health Studies coursework, Chloe learned about the importance of balancing social determinants of health, community voices, and systemic policies in order to advance holistic health and alleviate health disparities. She was a senior research associate at the Education, Evaluation, and Action Group (EEAG) led by Dr. Leah Neubauer at Feinberg School of Medicine, focusing on workforce development and menstrual health. They further developed their interest in global women's health through the department's study abroad program in Paris, France, and GESI Vietnam. After graduation, Chloe will be working for McMaster-Carr, an industrial supply company in suburban Chicago. In the future, Chloe hopes to pursue a Master's Degree in Public Health to partake in justice-oriented, community-based efforts at the intersection of women's health, urban studies, and health equity.
